Becoming A Full-Time Domain Investor

I just wanted to share this because recently, I have received some emails, and people are asking me how to become a successful full-time domain investor. Unfortunately, there is no given formula.

I don’t see myself as an expert or pro, but I would like to share this with all of you, especially those who are new and want to be full-time domain investors.

I have only been in this industry for only 14 months, and based on my little experience, I have realized that one should not just sit and hope for sales. It’s not easy to get deals frequently; you really have to put in many hours every day to get the desired output.

And not getting sales can create panic, put you under pressure, and that’s where you start doubting yourself.

It is better to find your niche. Start with something you have prior experience or you are passionate about and use that experience to your advantage. This will make your life easier; most people avoid this and make it difficult for themselves.

Every successful domain investor has their own process in place, and it takes a lot of trial and error to come up with an effective strategy. Those who are full-time and successful in domain investing spend an average of 8-10 hours or maybe more to be where they are now.

Success is not an overnight thing; although you might get a couple of quick sales here and there, but it requires more than few sales to make it a real business.

If you are new, one of the best ways to learn about domains is to see what selling, and namebio.com is an excellent resource. I would highly recommend studying the data; you can download the namebio daily report and analyze the data of 100 sales every day to see what is being sold.

If you like to create an extra income source in domaining, you can try and start your own blog. Once you start getting some sales use that experience to start a blog, it won’t give you $ at the initial stage, but if you are sharing a solution to the problem sooner or later, it will turn into a new income source.

Create a digital product that can be an ebook, video course, podcast, start giving paid private or group consultation in which you are good at but remember your focus should always be on finding a solution for an existing problem.

Most importantly, never ever doubt yourself; opportunities are still there; you just got to find it and don’t cry or give a lame excuse that you were not there in the ’90s during the dotcom boom; this is something you can’t control I was in my nappies in ’90s, and I don’t bitch about it.

Avoid wasting money on domains that are nothing more than lottery tickets and pipe dreams. Stick with .com, and don’t overload yourself with too much information to confuse you. Listen to everyone and do what your gut feeling says.

If you have some money, invest in yourself by joining DNAcademy.com; this is the best online course in the world, and if you want to get better at outbound, you can buy my ebook Domain Outbound Marketing.

IMO, if you want to be a successful full-time domain investor, you got to do more than just selling domains to survive in this industry. Treat yourself as a CEO and think as if your life depends on it and you’ll make more income.

Namaste 🙏
