Sell Domain Name Instantly

Everyone wants to sell their domain quickly with a good ROI, but it is not that easy. The most crucial factor in selling a domain is your name should have value.

And such quality domains are not so easy to find; for this, you really have to do a lot of research.

If you have a good domain and want to flip it quickly, outbound is the best option IMO.

First of all, you have to make a super targeted list of those companies which are potential buyers of your domain.

You can make a list of such buyers by using this method:

Jump-start your cold outreach strategy instantly with our proven templates

Linkedin

On LinkedIn, in the search field, type your domain’s “keyword” in quotes, and depending on which country/city you can find the maximum buyers for your domain, select the location filter, choose your targeted area, and click on show results.

Once you see a list of potential buyers by using these filters in a LinkedIn search, you can extract the decision-maker emails of those companies through the Snov.io chrome extension.

Google has the answer to everything and that too for free; you can find your targeted companies by using the method below.

Type your keyword in Google search and make a list of those companies who are running paid aids on your domain keyword

I have put paid advertisers on the priority list because:

A- They got the money because they are already running paid ads on Google.

B- Owning that domain can help them cut marketing expenses.

After creating an email list, it is time to do outreach.

If you want to sell your domains instantly, then you shouldn’t rely on just emails. In addition to emailing, you’ll also need to utilize phone calls/texts, Linkedin, social media. This will help you maximize your chance of selling domains fast.

And before you pick up the phone and start making phone calls, it is better to send an email first, so they have some little idea about why you are calling them, and technically, that won’t really count as a “cold call because you have already sent them email earlier.

You can also use an email tracker to know who has opened your email and how many times it has been opened. You can put those who have opened the email more often in priority.

If you are using paid Linkedin, you get Inmail credits through which you can direct message buyers.

If you want to sell the domain instantly, then the most important thing is pricing correctly.

When you do email outreach, don’t try to sell. Instead, try to keep your email short-sweet to build a conversation. Just let them know this domain is available for purchase and take it from there.

If the buyer asks you “How Much,” you should always give your price to the buyer because you have approached them, and if after buyer asks “How much,” you tell them “Make an offer.” IMO this is not an effective strategy, especially in outbound.

And if you don’t get a response by email or the buyer doesn’t respond after asking “How much,” it is better to call them and ask them what’s stopping them from making a deal.

Talking on the phone will increase your conversion rate a lot. In addition, some people like to deal on the phone rather than via email; making a phone call should always be on your priority list.

Conclusion:

Selling a domain name instantly has never been easy, and everyone has their own strategy. However, the most important thing is to have a good domain because a good domain name sells itself.

  • Have a highly targeted email list
  • Keep your email short and simple
  • Focus on closing, build conversation rather than selling
  • Try all other options like phone/LinkedIn, social media
  • Follow-ups
  • Be reasonable with the price.
  • Flip
  • Repeat.

Remember – Showing up is half the battle.

  1. Very good article. Just a suggestion, if your book was priced lower I think it would have more sales. New domainers generally start out keeping costs very low being apprehensive about the subject. Love the advice…
