Stop making these outbound mistakes

Writing a perfect cold email to sell your domain is an art, and many people think that cold email is dead, but it is still one of the most cost-effective ways to sell any product or service.

Selling domains by doing outbound is not easy, and it requires a lot of effort and patience. People think that outbound is SPAM. That is a debatable question, but in my opinion, spam and cold email are different.

If done correctly, cold email marketing can be the most cost-effective way to sell your domains.

Let’s learn and avoid making these seven outbound mistakes.

Don’t repeat yourself

If someone didn’t reply to your first email, there is no point in saying the same thing repeatedly. Find out the reasons why they are not responding to your emails and tweak them accordingly.

Writing a novel

No one has time to read those long lengthy emails. Don’t be like him – (Dennis – AKA Domain Smoke)😁 Less is more; just let them know about the domain name you are selling. Keep it brief.

Too Formal

Cold outreaching someone by saying, “Hello sir/madam, how are you doing today? or “Good Morning. I hope you are having a great day” It is a complete waste of time IMO. Don’t bother; they don’t care.

Not doing follow-ups

Marketing companies have done countless studies on the importance of follow-ups. One email won’t make the sale one has to be persistent in sales to get the desired outbound. Don’t be afraid to do follow-ups.

No personalization 

The first rule of cold email: Personalize them and send them to the right person. If you send a personalized cold email to the right person, chances are they are going to read it.

Don’t add everything in your first email.

Don’t overfeed your prospects on your first email. Keep teasing your recipients; if you have a domain name with SV and CPC, explain this in your following email. It is essential to keep feeding your prospects slowly and gradually.

Don’t sell. Focus more on closing the deal

Avoid pushing too much; rather than asking the buyer to buy your domain, focus more on providing value and build a conversation. Build rapport with your prospects, leave selling for later.

Point out a problem and present your domain as a solution to that problem. Use your domain as a hook to get their attention.
